Here we will discuss one famous tribe of Ethiopia who remained isolation from the Western civilization for years. They are called the Surma Tribe who avoided any contact with the world population. Their distinctive lifestyle was famous due to their amazing tradition of developing "giant lip plugs". They did not want any sort of government, therefore they lived according to their own rules. They lived in groups which contained a few hundred people. During the world wars, they were doing ranching business and never spoke to anyone in the world until 1980. The first person who ever spoke to the members of the Surma Tribe was the Russian doctor in 1980. Their skin color was not like normal people, so the doctors called them "The living dead". The only modern aspect of their life was the adoption of AK-47s, they had to protect their livestock and had to adopt AK-47s for survival.Surma Tribe has been speaking multiple languages like Suri and Mursi. Their homes are located in the desolated mountains and forest ranges where no human being wanders without a cause. They have also been playing fierce games like stick fighting, which is also used for selecting a bride. The women have a tradition of removing their bottom teeth or pierce their lips, the lips were stretched up to 16 inches to hold a plate inside it.
The popularity of a Surma village is normally 40-1000 people. There is almost zero or very low-level of their literacy, as they have no schools or learning institutions.
